Welcome to our comprehensive workshop on Django web development! This workshop is designed to help you understand the basics of setting up a Django project and building dynamic web applications. Pre-Workshop Content will be available 48 hours before the start of the workshop. It will help you with setting up your environment, installation of necessary softwares etc.
Onboarding Session (DAY 1 – LIVE) 06 May 2023, 03:00 PM: In this session, you will learn what is backend development, what is Django and how you it can help to change your life. You will get tips to become an ultimate backend developer. We will also help you with setting your environment and get you ready for the workshop.
On DAY 2, we will cover the basics of setting up a Django project, starting it in VS code, and running the server. We will also explore the differences between a project and an application, create an application and register it in settings.py and finally we will create our first web application.
On DAY 3, we will cover how to install MongoDB and Compass, create databases and collections, and perform CRUD operations on MongoDB with Python.
On DAY 4, we will cover the basics of Django’s templating system and we will learn how to render templates on the browser. We will also cover named URLs and define the Root URL as the home page.
On DAY 5, we will cover advanced form creation and management techniques in Django. We will learn how to set up static files, add new questions and options to forms dynamically using JavaScript and AJAX, we will learn how to save data to the database, and list forms elements using for loops.
On DAY 6, we will cover the advanced features of form interaction and user feedback in Django. We will learn how to edit forms, get user responses, save responses and display them in an organized manner.
